30 Song Challenge...

I have decided not to do the 30 day challenge anymore. I skipped a bunch of them and I just have no patience to try and do it anymore. So, I'm doing a 30 Song challenge all in one post. Bear with me. You'll like it...


- your favorite song - This is a pretty tough one. If I had to choose one I would pick "Coming Back to Life" by Pink Floyd. It's the perfect song.


- your least favorite song - I could say something by Justin Bieber or Rebecca Black's "Friday" but I don't listen to that garbage. While listening to the radio today I heard a song I hadn't heard in a while by Gwen Stefani. Holla Back Girl. I really don't like her music. Still to this day I don't know what a Holla Back Girl is.

- a song that makes you happy - "Wobegon (The way it used to be)" by Chet Atkins. I love that song.
 
- a song that makes you sad - "For my Father" by Andy McKee. It's a good kind of sad, though. Makes my eyes water.

- a song that reminds you of someone - "Hello Darlin'" by Conway Twitty. My grandmother was in love with Conway Twitty. It reminds me of her. I miss her. 

- a song that reminds you of somewhere - Whenever I listen to any song off of the Incubus album "Make Yourself" it reminds me of being in school in the Navy. I listened to that album quite a bit in Great Lakes.


- a song that reminds you of a certain event - "Pomp and Circumstance". Reminds me of finally leaving High School.

- a song that you know all the words to - It would be insane for me to try and pick one song. Just about anything by Pink Floyd.

- a song that you can dance to - "Pick up the Pieces" by Average White Band. That song is so funky I just gotta get down.

- a song that makes you fall asleep - "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart. It's not really a song. It's a serenade. Serenade No. 13 in G Major to be exact.

- a song from your favorite band -  

"Fat Old Sun" by Pink Floyd. It's a great song.

- a song from a band you hate - 

I hate U2. Why are they so popular?
 
- a song that is a guilty pleasure - "I Wear My Sunglasses at Night" by Corey Hart. I know it's a ridiculous  80's song, but I like it.

- a song that no one would expect you to love - People know I am a person of vast musical knowledge and interests and am a metal head through and through. I love the song "Fireflies" by Owl City.

- a song that describes you - "Echoes" by Pink Floyd. I have a Pink Floyd theme going on here. They are that good. Here's a few lyrics from the song:
Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can

- a song that you used to love but now hate - I used to really like stuff by Insane Clown Posse. I was a dolt, I know. They suck so bad, it's embarrassing. 


- a song that you hear often on the radio - I'm starting to hear more and more of Journey on the radio. I like Journey, but c'mon. There are more songs than just "Don't Stop Believin'".
 
- a song that you wish you heard on the radio - Anything from Pink Floyd's "Animals" album. It's rarely played on the radio.

- a song from your favorite album - "If" from Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" album.

- a song that you listen to when you’re angry - "Dancers to a Discordant System" by Meshuggah. That gets me hyped up and calmed down.

- a song that you listen to when you’re happy - "Supererogation" by Chimp Spanner. Paul Ortiz is a genius.

- a song that you listen to when you’re sad - "Nice 'n' Easy" by Frank Sinatra. I love me some Frank Sinatra. 

- a song that you want to play at your wedding - I already had my wedding and we played "I'll Look Around" by Madeleine Peyroux as our first dance. 

- a song that you want to play at your funeral - This is pretty morbid I must say. I will not personally be playing anything at my funeral so I really don't care what is played.

- a song that makes you laugh - "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by 3-6 Mafia. It's just ridiculous and funny.

- a song that you can play on an instrument - I can play quite a few songs, actually. I really like playing "Limelight" by Rush.

- a song that you wish you could play - I wish I could play "For the Love of God" by Steve Vai. I can get almost half of it. It's quite difficult.

- a song that makes you feel guilty - I don't know any songs that make me feel guilty.

- a song from your childhood - "People in a Box" by Farrell and Farrell. Yet again another obscure 80's band.

- your favorite song at this time last year - The same as it has been for a while. "Coming Back to Life" by Pink Floyd.
